In the midst on concrete repairs, we took the opportunity to replace the last door in the building - that of the WC. This, while original, was in such poor condition that we were able to remove the frame from the wall without tools! A near-identical door has been faithfully restored and fitted downstairs in the relay room.
The replacement for the WC, generously funded by LNER(GC)HT supporters, fits perfectly, and should allow signallers to relieve themselves in comfort in the years to come.
