We had a few lengths of troughing to lay today, but decided against it with a view to rather unpleasant weather. Despite that, we pushed on with other jobs and made some fair progress.
Under the big gates, we fitted two more panels of old sleepers in two of the four-foots (if that's the plural), to prevent intruders climbing under. We also adjusted the hinges so the gates close more freely, and appreciated the new high-quality lock, and anti-climb paint applied during the week.
In the station, we cut and fitted a half-dozen outstanding troughing lids, and made-off last week's new cables. While stripping wires and sealing cable glands is not the most technical of tasks, it proved nonetheless a good opportunity for the less-experienced members of the team to learn how it's done.
