The team returned to Hotchley Hill this weekend for three of those satisfyingly-achievable jobs one wishes all work could be. The first; priming the lever-frame's base casting. This has a deceptively-large surface area, but we think we've got all the nooks covered.
Second, fitting some new cast-iron dooknobs to the Crittall doors upstairs. These are admittedly a guess - there are no detailed photos of the originals, but they work and we think they look the part.
Third, we recently received a new downpipe for the front of the building, in our chosen Eastern blue. This will keep the wall of the relay-room dry. It functions as any downpipe should, and we've thrown a bucket of water into the top to prove it.
