Over the last couple of weeks, we've made some good progress at Hotchley Hill. Much of this has been unexciting - measuring, planning, trying to vacuum years of dirt out of the floor - but some is visible too.
The old battery shelves that have precariously leant against the front wall of the locking room have been dismantled and stowed, replaced with a smaller set that better suit us. That made room to paint the front wall, once again making the space feel cleaner and brighter.
The diminutive new door has been painted and secured to the "ash stash", which provides us with tidy storage space for low-value, rarely-used items.
The team will be in attendance at the Rushcliffe Halt Open Day on the 31th of July, and we'd be delighted to see you there!
