Over the last couple of weeks little S&T work has occurred in lieu of helping with the continuing site remediation works.
However, we have still been making progress. In the station, we have begun to get the points on Platform 1 ready for the installation of a clamp-lock machine. This being another opportunity to train volunteers on the tools and techniques used.
We have also paid a long overdue visit to Hotchley Hill to check over everything and test fit the front polycarbonate windows. For the most part they fitted well, however some of the frames are imperceptibly out of square, meaning those windows don’t fit in all the way. Despite this it will be easily corrected by adjusting the panes.
